Semantic Segmentation: Prompt Engineering for the Segment Anything Model [PDF]

open access: yes
openIn questi tesi parlo della segmentazione delle immagini, un processo fondamentale nella visione artificiale che consiste nel suddividere un'immagine in regioni significative, assegnando a ciascuna di esse un'etichetta semantica. In particolare.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Inclusive prompt engineering for large language models: a modular framework for ethical, structured, and adaptive AI [PDF]

open access: yes
Large language models have achieved impressive results across various tasks but remain limited in their ability to adapt ethically and structurally across diverse domains without retraining.

Reflexive Prompt Engineering: A Framework for Responsible Prompt Engineering and AI Interaction Design

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal
Responsible prompt engineering has emerged as a critical framework for ensuring that generative artificial intelligence (AI) systems serve society's needs while minimizing potential harms. As generative AI applications become increasingly powerful and ubiquitous, the way we instruct and interact with them through prompts has profound implications for ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Application of Prompt Engineering Techniques to Optimize Information Retrieval in the Metaverse

open access: yesJournal of Metaverse
Prompt engineering techniques are instructions that enable large language models (LLMs) to solve real-world problems more effectively. These techniques enhance the capabilities of LLMs to generate accurate and efficient responses.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Multi-prompt Learning Based Aspect-Category Sentiment Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue yu tansuo
Aspect-category sentiment analysis (ACSA) aims to discern aspect categories in review texts and simultaneously predict their sentiment polarity. It is an important fine-grained subtask in the field of sentiment analysis.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...
