Quantum Mechanical Reflection Resonances [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
Resonances in the reflection probability amplitude r(E) can occur in energy ranges in which the reflection probability R(E)=|r(E)|^2 is 1. They occur as the phase phi(E) defined by r(E) = t*(E)/t(E) = 1e^{i 2phi(E)} undergoes a rapid change of pi radians. During this transition the phase angle exhibits a Lorentzian profile in that d(phi(E))/dE ~= 1/[(E-

Evidence that the E2-isoprostane, 15-E2t-isoprostane (8-iso-prostaglandin E2) is formed in vivo

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1998
D2/E2-isoprostanes are prostaglandin D2/E2-like compounds that are produced in vivo as non-enzymatic products of free radical catalyzed peroxidation of arachidonic acid.

Regulation of Dendritic Cell Function by Ermiaosan via the EP4-cAMP-CREB Signaling Pathway [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Ermiao San (EMS), a traditional Chinese medicine composed of Atractylodes macrocephala and Cortex Phellodendron, has demonstrated therapeutic efficacy in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Studies suggest that EMS modulates dendritic cell (DC) maturation in adjuvant arthritis (AA) rats, though the precise mechanisms remain unclear.

On the residue fields of Henselian valued stable fields, II [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
Let $E$ be a primarily quasilocal field, $M/E$ a finite Galois extension and $D$ a central division $E$-algebra of index divisible by $[M\colon E]$. In addition to the main result of Part I, this part of the paper shows that if the Galois group $G(M/E)$ is not nilpotent, then $M$ does not necessarily embed in $D$ as an $E$-subalgebra.

LC‐DAD‐MSn and HR‐LC‐QTOF analysis of Ziziphus budhensis leaves and evaluation of their in vitro and in vivo biological activities

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Accepted Article.
Ziziphus budhensis is a species described in 2015 in Nepal poorly studied for its phytochemical composition and possible bioactivities. In this study, six extracts were obtained from Z. budhensis leaves using ultrasound assisted extraction with solvents in increasing polarity.

On volumes determined by subsets of Euclidean space [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
Given $E \subset {\Bbb R}^d$, define the \emph{volume set} of $E$, ${\mathcal V}(E)= \{det(x^1, x^2, ... x^d): x^j \in E\}$. In $\R^3$, we prove that ${\mathcal V}(E)$ has positive Lebesgue measure if either the Hausdorff dimension of $E\subset \Bbb R^3$ is greater than 13/5, or $E$ is a product set of the form $E=B_1\times B_2\times B_3$ with $B_j ...
