Prostatic adenocarcinoma in a cat
Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1990Prostatic adenocarcinoma was diagnosed in an 11-year-old neutered cat. Clinical signs of the disease included hematuria and a mass in the caudal portion of the abdomen. Prostatectomy was performed. Doxorubicin was administered IV at a dosage of 30 mg/m2 of body surface, followed by cyclophosphamide (300 mg/m2, IV).

Mucinous adenocarcinoma of prostate
Urology, 1979Primary mucinous adenocarcinoma of the prostate is rare. The presence of mucin in prostatic carcinoma is usually associated with decreased tumor aggressiveness and increased survival rates. When mucinous adenocarcinoma of the prostate is found, it is necessary to exclude extraprostatic primary sources particularly from the urinary bladder and the ...

Prostatic mucinous adenocarcinoma
Urology, 1984Primary mucinous adenocarcinoma of the prostate is rare. It is necessary to exclude extraprostatic primary sources, particularly from the gastrointestinal tract and the urinary bladder. Immunoperoxidase stain can serve the purpose of differential diagnosis. Usually, the presence of mucin in prostatic carcinoma is associated with a less aggressive tumor.

Prostatic adenocarcinoma is the third most common cause of cancer death in men. Although cure of early disease is possible, distant metastases are present at diagnosis in about 50% of patients. Management will improve as understanding of the variables affecting prognosis increases.

Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate
2014Prostate cancer is the most common cancer and the second most common cause of cancer-related death among men. Because of the advent of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentration in serum screening, most prostate cancer new cases are clinically localized at diagnosis, and the 5-year relative survival rate approaches 100 %. Until now, patients with an

Mucinous adenocarcinoma of prostate
Urology, 1989The twenty-eighth case of mucinous adenocarcinoma of the prostate is reported. This microscopic variety of prostatic cancer is rare and aggressive; it metastasizes to bone, does not seem to respond to hormone therapy, and reacts positively to immunoperoxidase stain.

Mucinous adenocarcinoma of the prostate
Human Pathology, 1986A case of mucinous adenocarcinoma of the prostate that was diagnosed with the aid of prostate-specific antigen immunoperoxidase staining is reported. Focal areas of the tumor, which were morphologically similar to the remainder of the tumor, stained with neuron-specific enolase by an immunoperoxidase technique and with the Grimelius stain.

Papillary adenocarcinoma of prostate
Urology, 1976Papillary adenocarcinomas of the prostate are rare tumors which may arise from the prostatic ducts and the utricle; 2 cases are described. The diagnosis of these tumors is best established by cystourethroscopy and transurethral resection. The more common prostatic acinar adenocarcinoma is frequently associated with these tumors.

Pseudohyperplastic Prostatic Adenocarcinoma
The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1998Prostatic adenocarcinoma may uncommonly exhibit pseudohyperplastic patterns of growth, including complex large gland formations with papillary infoldings, luminal undulations, branching, and cystic dilatation. The incidence, spectrum of morphologic presentation, and prognostic implications of this histologic variant have not been defined.

Cribriform Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate
Journal of Urology, 2015Figure 1. Modified Gleason grade diagram shows cribriform adenocarcinoma as high grade Gleason pattern 4. ADENOCARCINOMA of the prostate shows a number of different growth patterns that are of prognostic and therapeutic significance. These different patterns are categorized using the Gleason grading scheme, which has undergone modifications over the ...
