Phylogenetic association of Schizothorax esocinus with other Schizothoracinae fishes based on protein coding genes

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2019
Whole mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) for Schizothorax esocinus sequence was found to be 16,591 bp with 13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNAs genes, 22 tRNA genes, and 2 non-coding region.

Insights into pegRNA design from editing of the cardiomyopathy‐associated phospholamban R14del mutation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how prime editing guide RNA (pegRNA) secondary structure and reverse transcriptase template length affect prime editing efficiency in correcting the phospholamban R14del cardiomyopathy‐associated mutation. Insights support the design of structurally optimized enhanced pegRNAs for precise gene therapy.

Identification of the expressome by machine learning on omics data. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Accurate annotation of plant genomes remains complex due to the presence of many pseudogenes arising from whole-genome duplication-generated redundancy or the capture and movement of gene fragments by transposable elements.

Protein-Coding Genes’ Retrocopies and Their Functions

open access: yesViruses, 2017
Transposable elements, often considered to be not important for survival, significantly contribute to the evolution of transcriptomes, promoters, and proteomes. Reverse transcriptase, encoded by some transposable elements, can be used in trans to produce

The complete mitochondrial genome of Haemaphysalis concinna (Ixodida: Ixodidae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2018
The complete mitochondrial genome of Haemaphysalis concinna is reported for the first time in this study. Its entire mitogenome is 14,675 bp in length, contained 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and two non-coding ...

Protein-coding genes in B chromosomes of the grasshopper Eyprepocnemis plorans

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
For many years, parasitic B chromosomes have been considered genetically inert elements. Here we show the presence of ten protein-coding genes in the B chromosome of the grasshopper Eyprepocnemis plorans.

Intron‐oriented HTLV‐1 integration in an adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma cell line sustains expression of intact ift81 mRNA

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In the adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) cell line ED, the human T‐cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV‐1) provirus was integrated into the intron of the ift81 gene in the antisense orientation. Despite this integration, both the intact ift81 and the viral oncogene hbz were simultaneously expressed, likely due to the functional insufficiency of viral ...

The mitochondrial genome analysis of Flavoperla hatakeyamae (Plecoptera: Perlidae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2020
In this study, we analyzed the entire mitochondrial genome of Flavoperla hatakeyamae, which has 15,730 bp in length. This complete mitochondrial genome possessed 13 protein coding genes (PCGs), 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and 1 control ...
