Pre-exposure to gamma rays alleviates the harmful effect of salinity on cowpea plants [PDF]
Soil salinity is one of the most severe factors limiting growth and physiological response in cowpea plants. In this study, the low concentrations of NaCl (25mM) increased plant growth, photosynthetic pigments content, total soluble protein content ...

Analysis of serum proteins by agarose gel and capillary electro phoresis
Electrophoresis is a basic technique used to identify disorders of blood serum protein fractions. Agarose gel is the most frequently used medium for routine protein separations. However, capillary electrophoresis seems to be an attractive alternative to

Mechanisms of the development of skeletal muscle atrophy in chronic alcohol intoxication
Chronic alcohol myopathy (CAM) is one of frequent manifestationsof the alcoholic disease, but its pathogenesis remains to be elucidated.Main mechanism of the CAM development is suggested tobe abnormalities of protein synthesis in muscle fibers.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
