Human erythrocyte Mn(2+)-dependent (C'A') and -independent (CA) protein-serine/threonine phosphatase (PP) 2A are composed of 34-kDa catalytic C' and C subunits, in which the metal dependency resides, and 63-kDa regulatory A' and A subunits, respectively.

SHP-2, SH2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase-2.
The international journal of biochemistry & cell biology, 1998SHP-2 is an ubiquitously expressed cytosolic protein tyrosine phosphatase composed of two amino-terminal SH2 domains, a central phosphatase domain and a carboxy-terminal tail. Upon activation of cells with different stimuli, SHP-2 is recruited to the plasma membrane where it can associate with a number of tyrosine phosphorylated molecules, including ...

2-Carboxymethylendothal analogues as affinity probes for stabilized protein phosphatase 2A
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 1999Endothal (1diacid) and [3H]cantharidic acid ([3H]CA) bind with high affinity to the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A). PP2A in liver cytosol was greatly stabilized with 30% glycerol as a preliminary step in the potential use of endothal-type derivatives for affinity chromatography.

Regulation of bone and skeletal development by the SHP-2 protein tyrosine phosphatase
Bone, 2014Src homology-2 protein tyrosine phosphatase (SHP-2) that is encoded by the PTPN11 gene in humans is an intracellular signaling molecule that couples growth factor receptors to activation of the Ras small GTP-binding protein that regulates cell growth, proliferation and differentiation.

Determinants for the interaction between Janus kinase 2 and protein phosphatase 2A
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 2003We have shown that the serine/threonine protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) associates with the Jak2 tyrosine kinase in a myeloid progenitor line. In this study, we characterized the regions of Jak2 and PP2A responsible for association and evaluated the functional consequences of association.

[Research progress of protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP-2].
Zhejiang da xue xue bao. Yi xue ban = Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences, 2013The Src homology-2 domain-containing phosphatase SHP-2 encoded by PTPN11 is an essential component in several signaling pathways.Different types of mutation in SHP-2 have been confirmed in several types of leukemia and solid tumors. Elucidation of the events underlying Shp2-evoked transformation may provide new insights into the novel targets ...

How phosphorylation activates the protein phosphatase-1 • inhibitor-2 complex
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Proteins and Proteomics, 2013Phosphorylation regulates activity of many proteins; however, atomic level details are known for very few examples. Inhibitor-2 (I2) squelches the ubiquitous protein phosphatase-1 (PP1) enzyme activity by blocking access to the metal-containing active site.
