The Binding Specificity of PAB1 with Poly(A) mRNA, Regulated by Its Structural Folding
The poly(A)-binding protein cytoplasmic 1 (PAB1 or PABPC1) protein is associated with the long poly(A) mRNA tails, inducing stability. Herein, we investigated the dynamics of the PABPC1 protein, along with tracing its mRNA binding specificity.

ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Genetic variations affecting ACE2 protein stability in minority populations
While worldwide efforts for improving COVID-19 vaccines are currently considered a top priority, the role of the genetic variants responsible for virus receptor protein stability is less studied.

ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
