c-myc oncogene protein synthesis is independent of the cell cycle in human and avian cells.
Several lines of evidence suggest a role for the myc oncogene in cell proliferation. Most recently, mitogenic stimulation of quiescent lymphoid, fibroblast and epithelial cells has been demonstrated to lead to a sharp increase in c-myc RNA levels.

ABSTRACT Equine melanocytic neoplasms (EMN) are aggressive tumours characterised by high metastatic potential and limited therapeutic options available. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying their progression remain poorly understood. This study therefore presents the integrative phosphoproteomic analysis of EMN tissue, with the aim of ...

Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) is co‐translationally integrated into endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membranes and undergoes N‐glycosylation at several positions. This process is essential for FGFR1 progression through the secretory pathway.

An immunohistochemical study of beta-catenin in HNPCC colon tumours
Includes bibliographical references (leaves 49-55).Beta-catenin is normally complexed with adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) protein and E-cadherin adhesion molecule, and localized on the cell membrane.

The function of bromodomain‐containing proteins in regulating gene transcription is reviewed here, including the development of chemical probes and targeted protein degradation modalities (e.g., PROTACs). This extends to clinical efforts targeting the BET bromodomain‐containing proteins. Challenges of selectivity, future prospects, and the differential
