Bacterial DNA‐Targeting AIE Photosensitizer for Efficient Eradication of Intracellular Bacteria and Biofilm‐Associated Infections

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
A bacterial DNA‐targeted PS TPE‐CN for the precise treatment of MRSA‐associated infections has been developed. Through synergistic PDT effect, TPE‐CN damages bacterial DNA and membrane, resulting in effective elimination of planktonic bacteria, biofilm, and intracellular bacteria.

A Dual‐Locking G‐Quadruplex DNA Targeting Strategy Based on a Tumor‐Accumulating Porphyrin‐Ruthenium(II) Conjugate for Type I Photodynamic Therapy

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
This study identifies PorRu as a “dual‐lock” G‐quadruplex binder, which also serves as a tumor‐targeting Type I photosensitizer. This agent overcomes the limitations of oxygen‐dependent PDT, providing a novel strategy for precise HCC therapy. ABSTRACT The hypoxic tumor microenvironment severely limits the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in ...

Hub genes and diagnostic model associated with mitochondrial function in Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common neurodegenerative disorder, and mitochondrial dysfunction has been confirmed in AD patients and mouse models. However, the pathogenic genes associated with AD and early diagnostic methods based on mitochondrial function remain to be explored.

Intact Mass Profiling Reveals Phospho‐Proteoforms of the Catenins (85–110 kDa) Regulated by Actomyosin Contractility

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This study advances top‐down individual ion mass spectrometry (I2MS) to profile intact phospho‐proteoforms of β‐ and α‐catenins (85–110 kDa) within cadherin–catenin complexes. By modulating actomyosin contractility, we reveal mechano‐sensitive phosphorylation patterns and propose that distinct catenin proteoforms may reflect adhesive states at cell ...
