The dual immunomodulatory network of radiotherapy in hepatocellular carcinoma. Radiotherapy initiates its effects by inducing immunogenic cell death and DNA double‐strand breaks. Immune Activation: Cytosolic DNA from damaged cells activates the cGAS‐STING pathway, triggering IRF3/NF‐κB‐mediated type I interferon production. This enhances dendritic cell

Monte Carlo calculated CT numbers for improved heavy ion treatment planning
Better knowledge of CT number values and their uncertainties can be applied to improve heavy ion treatment planning. We developed a novel method to calculate CT numbers for a computed tomography (CT) scanner using the Monte Carlo (MC) code, BEAMnrc ...

Range-compensated pencil beam scanning proton Arc therapy: a feasibility study
Proton arc therapy is a conceptual treatment technique in proton therapy that delivers a scanned proton pencil beam simultaneously as the gantry is rotated around the patient, exploiting the geometric advantages of a continuous arc with the dosimetric ...

This study demonstrates that the novel 10B‐BPA‐based BNCT system, combined with an RFQ accelerator, effectively targets head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. It induces tumor regression safely and efficiently by triggering DNA damage and activating the ROS/HIF‐1α/NF‐κB pathway, leading to caspase‐3‐mediated apoptosis.
