Modified structure of protons and neutrons in correlated pairs

Nature, 2019
The atomic nucleus is made of protons and neutrons (nucleons), which are themselves composed of quarks and gluons. Understanding how the quark–gluon structure of a nucleon bound in an atomic nucleus is modified by the surrounding nucleons is an ...

Protonated Heme

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2007
AbstractThe ions formally corresponding to protonated heme [FeII–hemeH]+ have been obtained by collision‐induced dissociation from the electrospray ionization of microperoxidase (MP11) and their gas‐phase chemistry has been studied by FTICR mass spectrometry.

Proton-proton bremsstrahlung

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1978
A field theoretic calculation of ppγ is presented. Strong interactions are taken into account to second order. Apart form the contribution of OBE external exmission, the contributions of the ω‐radiative‐decay process and Δ excitation are calculated.

Proton-Proton Interaction

Physical Review Letters, 1961
A model for p-p interactions below 350 Mev is studied, which contains a boundary condition to represent the shortrange potential, and a fourth order static perturbative tail for the long-range interaction. The scattering phase shifts and wave functions are found for various energies and quantum states.
