AbstractThe ions formally corresponding to protonated heme [FeII–hemeH]+ have been obtained by collision‐induced dissociation from the electrospray ionization of microperoxidase (MP11) and their gas‐phase chemistry has been studied by FTICR mass spectrometry.

A field theoretic calculation of ppγ is presented. Strong interactions are taken into account to second order. Apart form the contribution of OBE external exmission, the contributions of the ω‐radiative‐decay process and Δ excitation are calculated.

A model for p-p interactions below 350 Mev is studied, which contains a boundary condition to represent the shortrange potential, and a fourth order static perturbative tail for the long-range interaction. The scattering phase shifts and wave functions are found for various energies and quantum states.

Broadband proton‐decoupled proton spectra
Magnetic Resonance in Chemistry, 2007AbstractWe present a new method for recording broadband proton‐decoupled proton spectra with absorption mode lineshapes and substantially correct integrals; in both these respects, the new method has significant advantages over conventional J‐spectroscopy.

Proton–Proton and Proton–Antiproton Colliders
Reviews of Accelerator Science and Technology, 2014In the last five decades, proton–proton and proton–antiproton colliders have been the most powerful tools for high energy physics investigations. They have also deeply catalyzed innovation in accelerator physics and technology. Among the large number of proposed colliders, only four have really succeeded in becoming operational: the ISR, the SppbarS ...

Proton–proton correlations observed in two-proton radioactivity of 94Ag
Nature, 2006The stability and spontaneous decay of naturally occurring atomic nuclei have been much studied ever since Becquerel discovered natural radioactivity in 1896. In 1960, proton-rich nuclei with an odd or an even atomic number Z were predicted to decay through one- and two-proton radioactivity, respectively.

Proton therapy is a form of external beam radiotherapy that has several advantages over conventional photon (x-ray) radiotherapy. Protons are useful in 2 scenarios that apply to a large proportion of cancer patients: lack of exit dose allows for delivery of a therapeutic radiation dose to tumors in challenging anatomic locations, and reduction in ...
