Proximate composition and bioaccumulation of heavy metals in edible Achatina spp in some rural agro-settlements, south-east Nigeria

open access: yesJournal of Basic and Applied Zoology, 2021
Background Animals that live and feed on the soil and its constituents and products naturally absorb heavy metals and pass to other organisms linked in the food chains.

Effect of salt stress on proximate composition of duckweed (Lemna minor L.)

open access: yesHeliyon, 2021
The shortage of conventional feedstuff is one of the rising issues faced by the developing countries of the world. To bridge the gap between supply and demand of the major feedstuff it is desirable to practice the use of non-conventional feed resources ...

Proximate and mineral composition of M. longissimus thoracis et lumborum of suckling lambs from three Croatian indigenous breeds reared in outdoor conditions

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2018
Lamb meat represents an important source of nutrients for humans worldwide. However, nutritional value of lamb meat, and particularly that obtained from suckling lambs, has been scarcely investigated in comparison to other categories of meat.

Variational analysis of proximal compositions and integral proximal mixtures

open access: yesEvolution Equations and Control Theory
This paper establishes various variational properties of parametrized versions of two convexity-preserving constructs that were recently introduced in the literature: the proximal composition of a function and a linear operator, and the integral proximal mixture of arbitrary families of functions and linear operators.

Proximate and Mineral Composition of the Fruit of Ficus polita

open access: yesJournal of Applied Life Sciences International, 2020
The proximate and mineral analyses were conducted in the Department of Biochemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Bayero University Kano, Nigeria, in May 2019. The study was carried out to determine the proximate and mineral composition of the fruit of Ficus polita using standard analytical methods.

Resolvent of the parallel composition and the proximity operator of the infimal postcomposition

open access: yesOptimization Letters, 2022
In this paper we provide the resolvent computation of the parallel composition of a maximally monotone operator by a linear operator under mild assumptions. Connections with a modification of the warped resolvent are provided. In the context of convex optimization, we obtain the proximity operator of the infimal postcomposition of a convex function by ...

Magnetic Control of Chiral Hybridized Phonon Magnetic Moments in Ferrimagnets Fe2‐xZnxMo3O8

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Helicity‐resolved magneto‐Raman spectroscopy reveals magnetic control of chiral phonon magnetic moments in polar ferrimagnet (ZnxFe2−xMo3O₈). Large spontaneous zero‐field phonon splittings, selective phonon–magnon coupling, and asymmetric Zeeman responses demonstrate that phonon chirality is governed by magnon‐phonon coupling and magnetization.
