Biopesticides produced by plant-probiotic Pseudomonas chlororaphis isolates

Crop Protection, 2018
Abstract Pseudomonas chlororaphis isolates are being used in agriculture as biopesticides because they provide plant protection against an array of microbial pathogens, insects and nematodes. These isolates directly control microbial pathogens, insects, and nematodes through the production of an array of metabolites.

Nematicidal Activity of a Nonpathogenic Biocontrol Bacterium, Pseudomonas chlororaphis O6

Current Microbiology, 2010
Bacterial culture filtrates of an aggressive rhizobacterium, Pseudomonas chlororaphis O6, displayed strong nematicidal activity. The nematicidal activity of P. chlororaphis O6 was markedly reduced in the gacS mutant of P. chlororaphis O6 grown in the presence of glycine, but no reduction of nematicidal activity in the gacS mutant was noted in the ...

Structure and expression of gene vfr in Pseudomonas chlororaphis 449

Russian Journal of Genetics, 2009
Gene vfr previously described only in Pseudomonas aeruginosa was cloned, identified, and sequenced in cells of Pseudomonas chlororaphis 449; its localization in the chromosome was determined. Amino acid sequence of the protein encoded by gene vfr in P. chlororaphis 449 was shown to have a 83% identity with the Vfr protein of P. aeruginosa PAO1 and a 63%

Characterization of a Homogentisate Dioxygenase Mutant in Pseudomonas chlororaphis O6

Current Microbiology, 2007
Transposon mutagenesis of Pseudomonas chlororaphis O6 was performed with the transposon Tn5 to investigate genes involved in production of secondary metabolites. A mutant, termed Org, produced intense dark-brown pigmentation on rich medium. The Tn5-flanking sequence of the Org mutant showed high homology with the hmgA gene encoding the enzyme ...

Rhizosphere bacteria Pseudomonas aureofaciens and Pseudomonas chlororaphis oxidizing naphthalene in the presence of arsenic

Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology, 2010
Rhizosphere strains of P. aureofaciens BS1393(pBS216, pKS1) and P. chlororaphis PCL1391(pBS216, pKS1), exhibiting the ability to stimulate the growth of plants and protect them from phytopathogens, have been obtained. In these strains, plasmid pBS216 ensures naphthalene degradation and plasmid pKS1 confers resistance to arsenic.

Purification and characterization of twopolyurethanase enzymes from Pseudomonas chlororaphis

International Biodeterioration & Biodegradation, 1999
Two polyester polyurethane (PU)-degrading enzymes from Pseudomonaschlororaphis, a bacterium that utilizes polyester PU as the sole carbon and energy source, were purified to electrophoretic homogeneity as indicated by sodium dodecyl-polyacrylamide gelelectrophoresis (SDS–PAGE).

Inferring REPIN duplication in Pseudomonas chlororaphis

2022
Transposable elements are ubiquitous features of prokaryotic genomes that have short persistence times in individuals of a population. Repetitive extragenic palindromic doublets forming hairpins (REPINs) are a common group of non-autonomous transposable elements that are unique in their long persistence in bacterial genomes.

Copper-containing nitrite reductase from Pseudomonas chlororaphis DSM 50135.

European journal of biochemistry, 2004
The nitrite reductase (Nir) isolated from Pseudomonas chlororaphis DSM 50135 is a blue enzyme, with type 1 and type 2 copper centers, as in all copper-containing Nirs described so far. For the first time, a direct determination of the reduction potentials of both copper centers in a Cu-Nir was performed: type 2 copper (T2Cu), 172 mV and type 1 copper ...
