Cytotoxic T-lymphocytes play an important role in the protection against viral infections, which they detect through the recognition of virus-derived peptides, presented in the context of MHC class I molecules at the surface of the infected cell.

Under physiological conditions, pathogenic stimuli activate TLR/IL1‐R signaling, triggering TOLLIP dissociation from IRAK1 and subsequent IRAK1 phosphorylation, TRAF6 ubiquitination, and NF‐κB activation. During SARS‐CoV‐2 infection, viral M protein binds TOLLIP and stabilizes the TOLLIP–IRAK1 complex, thereby suppressing NF‐κB signaling, impairing ...

A Central Somatic Transmission Mediates Proprioceptive Facilitation of Muscle Pain
Zhang et al. uncover a novel central mechanism for persistent muscle pain, in which TRPA1 sensitization in MeV proprioceptive neurons enhances somatic secretion. This, in turn, disinhibits descending pain control from neighboring noradrenergic locus coeruleus neurons via local GABAergic circuits, thereby promoting inflammatory muscle pain.

Production and characterization of monoclonal antibodies specific for pseudorabies virus [PDF]
Monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against Pseudorabies virus (PrV) were obtained by the fusion of P3x-Ag8.653 myeloma and spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice with a suspension of Pseudorabies (PrV) virus strains: MAVE (Morbus Aujeszky virus Ercegovac) and

In wild‐type cells, FIPV infection recruits CLTC to nsp3, facilitates DMV biogenesis and block autophagic flux to promote viral replication. CLTC knockout impairs autophagosome nucleation by reducing Beclin1–ATG14 complex expression. This disrupts the formation of autophagic precursor membranes, thereby preventing their hijacking by nsp3 for DMV ...

Peptides deduced from the C-terminal end (residues 191 to 227) of pestivirus envelope protein Erns were used to develop enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) to measure specifically antibodies against different types of pestiviruses.

Effects of physical and chemical factors on pseudorabies virus activity in vitro
Background Pseudorabies (PR) is latent and can persist in infected sows for a long time, and thus, convalescent sows can carry the virus throughout life, causing severe economic losses to farmers and posing a tremendous challenge to PR prevention and ...

Emodin as an Inhibitor of PRV Infection In Vitro and In Vivo
Pseudorabies (PR) is an acute and severe infectious disease caused by pseudorabies virus (PRV). Once the virus infects pigs, it is difficult to eliminate, resulting in major economic losses to the global pig industry.

This study establishes a whole‐brain monosynaptic input map to cholinergic neurons in the lower thoracic intermediolateral column (IML) using a cell‐type‐specific retrograde rabies tracing system in ChAT‐Cre mice. Our results reveal a widespread supraspinal network originating from five major brain divisions, including the telencephalon, diencephalon ...
