LEAP: The latent exchangeability prior for borrowing information from historical data [PDF]
It is becoming increasingly popular to elicit informative priors on the basis of historical data. Popular existing priors, including the power prior, commensurate prior, and robust meta-analytic prior provide blanket discounting. Thus, if only a subset of participants in the historical data are exchangeable with the current data, these priors may not ...

A Hybrid Deep Learning Approach for Diagnosis of the Erythemato-Squamous Disease [PDF]
The diagnosis of the Erythemato-squamous disease (ESD) is accepted as a difficult problem in dermatology. ESD is a form of skin disease. It generally causes redness of the skin and also may cause loss of skin. They are generally due to genetic or environmental factors.

Surface modification using mussel‐derived polydopamine (PDA) is a versatile and robust biocompatible strategy that enables direct application to various epidermal surfaces, regardless of their morphological complexity or surface characteristics. The PDA‐coated epidermis exhibits multiple anti‐biofouling functionalities, including antibacterial and anti‐

Long-term follow-up of 22 psoriatic patients treated with ixekizumab after failure of secukinumab [PDF]
Switching of biologic agents in treatment of plaque psoriasis is a common strategy. Only a few studies are available on switching between IL17A-blockers.

Expression and Functional Studies on the Noncoding RNA, PRINS. [PDF]
PRINS, a noncoding RNA identified earlier by our research group, contributes to psoriasis susceptibility and cellular stress response. We have now studied the cellular and histological distribution of PRINS by using in situ hybridization and demonstrated

Testing Sparsity Assumptions in Bayesian Networks [PDF]
Bayesian network (BN) structure discovery algorithms typically either make assumptions about the sparsity of the true underlying network, or are limited by computational constraints to networks with a small number of variables. While these sparsity assumptions can take various forms, frequently the assumptions focus on an upper bound for the maximum in-

Immunosuppressive Cytokine‐Tethered Hydrogel for Treating Rheumatoid Arthritis
An injectable hydrogel is developed by chemically tethering IL‐4, an immunosuppressive cytokine, to a hyaluronic acid‐based backbone. The hydrogel reduces joint friction and exerts immunomodulatory effects. In a rheumatoid arthritis (RA) mouse model, it reduced inflammation, preserved cartilage, and promoted anti‐inflammatory immune responses.

JAK3 as an emerging target for topical treatment of inflammatory skin diseases [PDF]
The recent interest and elucidation of the JAK/STAT signaling pathway created new targets for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases (ISDs). JAK inhibitors in oral and topical formulations have shown beneficial results in psoriasis and alopecia ...
