Streamlined V3.5+ Electrolyte Production by Leveraging Chemical and Catalytic Reductions

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A tuned catalytic process for V3.5+ electrolyte production is shown to streamline the conventional chemical‐to‐catalytic sequence by extending catalysis into the rate‐determining reduction regime. This study shows that initiating catalysis in this regime shortens the overall production time by 67% based on rigorous thermodynamic and kinetic analysis of

MicroCT reinvestigation of the only articulated fossil anostomid fish reveals synonymy of Arhinolemur Ameghino, 1898 and Megaleporinus Ramirez et al., 2017

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Arhinolemur scalabrinii† Ameghino, 1898 was originally described as a strepsirrhine primate (Mammalia) but has been recognized as an anostomid fish since 2012. It remains the only extinct anostomid species known from complete cranial material.

Description of large, well‐preserved Enchodus specimens from the Bearpaw Formation of Alberta, Canada

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Fishes of the genus Enchodus were abundant and cosmopolitan in the Late Cretaceous, but are primarily known from isolated remains in Canada. Four well‐preserved fish skulls were recovered in recent years from ammolite mines sampling the Bearpaw Formation of Southern Alberta, and are here referred to Enchodus petrosus Cope, 1874.

An avrPto/avrPtoB Mutant of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000 Does Not Elicit Pto-Mediated Resistance and Is Less Virulent on Tomato

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2005
AvrPto and AvrPtoB are type III effector proteins expressed by Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato strain DC3000, a pathogen of both tomato and Arabidopsis spp.

Durable Fuel Cell Cathode Enabled by Pt Embedded Nanoscale Carbon Network via a Scalable Process

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Platinum nanoparticles embedded nanoscale carbon network (Pt‐e‐Cn) are developed via a scalable flame spray pyrolysis process. Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) employing mesoporous Pt‐e‐Cn cathode electrocatalysts exhibit exceptional durability without compromising performance.

Organizational Abortion‐Facilitative Actions in a Post‐Dobbs U.S.: Employer Decisions and Employee Reactions

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In a post‐Dobbs United States, employers may play a significant role in access to abortion, a critical healthcare issue for women and people who can become pregnant. Yet, we have limited systematic knowledge of what organizations offer in terms of abortion‐facilitative actions and how these actions are perceived by employees.

School‐Based Educational Involvement for Families With a History of Parental Incarceration: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT An estimated 5.1 million children in the United States have experienced parental incarceration (Annie E. Casey Foundation 2016). Only recently has research begun considering protective factors in mitigating negative school‐based outcomes associated with this experience. Parental educational involvement is a critical factor in student outcomes,

Finding the Perfect Match: Investigation of 1,2‐Diketone‐Based Materials for Use as Cathode Active Material in Rechargeable Magnesium Batteries

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A novel and generally applicable early screening method for 1,2‐diketones via cyclic voltammetry and DFT computations identifies phenanthrenequinone as a suitable candidate as cathode active material for use in RMB. Its successful incorporation into a polymer enabled promising lithium and magnesium battery performance.
