Nickel‐Free Synthesis of Poly(pyrene‐4,5,9,10‐tetraone) for Sodium‐based Batteries: Insights into Electrode Architecture and Reversible Na‐ion Insertion

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A nickel‐free and practical synthesis strategy to poly(pyrene tetraone) and its integration with a percolated CNTs/Ketjen Black network enables stable cycling and efficient energy storage in a sodium‐based batteries. This work demonstrates how controlling polymer structure and electrode architecture improves ion transport and mitigates dissolution in ...

Pto-mediated phosphorylation of T450 in AvrPtoB does not impact Pto recalcitrance to E3 ligase-mediated degradation.

open access: yes, 2014
(A) Yeast two-hybrid analyses of the interaction of AvrPtoB(T450A) and AvrPtoB(T450D) with Pto and Fen. AvrPtoB or the variants shown (in the prey vector) were tested for their interaction with Pto and Fen.

An investigation of the physical parameters of PTO entanglements

open access: yes, 2004
Power take-off (PTO) drivelines are a commonly recognized hazard of agricultural work environments. Manufacturers commonly shield PTOs to try to prevent operators from coming in contact with rotating PTO shafts.

An avrPto/avrPtoB Mutant of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000 Does Not Elicit Pto-Mediated Resistance and Is Less Virulent on Tomato

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2005
AvrPto and AvrPtoB are type III effector proteins expressed by Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato strain DC3000, a pathogen of both tomato and Arabidopsis spp.

MicroCT reinvestigation of the only articulated fossil anostomid fish reveals synonymy of Arhinolemur Ameghino, 1898 and Megaleporinus Ramirez et al., 2017

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Arhinolemur scalabrinii† Ameghino, 1898 was originally described as a strepsirrhine primate (Mammalia) but has been recognized as an anostomid fish since 2012. It remains the only extinct anostomid species known from complete cranial material.

Description of large, well‐preserved Enchodus specimens from the Bearpaw Formation of Alberta, Canada

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Fishes of the genus Enchodus were abundant and cosmopolitan in the Late Cretaceous, but are primarily known from isolated remains in Canada. Four well‐preserved fish skulls were recovered in recent years from ammolite mines sampling the Bearpaw Formation of Southern Alberta, and are here referred to Enchodus petrosus Cope, 1874.

Tanker Truck Driver Killed by Unshielded PTO Shaft [PDF]

open access: yes
In May 2002, a 61-year-old truck driver working for a farm supply cooperative was killed when he became entangled in an auxiliary power take-off (PTO) shaft of a truck tractor. This PTO shaft transferred power from the tractor engine to fuel pumps on the

Perfecting the Life Clock: The Journey from PTO to TTFL

open access: yes, 2023
The ubiquity of biological rhythms in life implies that it results from selection in the evolutionary process. The origin of the biological clock has two possible hypotheses: the selective pressure hypothesis of the oxidative stress cycle and the light ...

Organizational Abortion‐Facilitative Actions in a Post‐Dobbs U.S.: Employer Decisions and Employee Reactions

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In a post‐Dobbs United States, employers may play a significant role in access to abortion, a critical healthcare issue for women and people who can become pregnant. Yet, we have limited systematic knowledge of what organizations offer in terms of abortion‐facilitative actions and how these actions are perceived by employees.

Phosphorylation of Pto upon activation of signalling.

open access: yes, 2013
(A) Slow migration of Prf-associated Pto after effector recognition. The indicated Prf, AvrPto and AvrPtoB constructs were transiently expressed in stable transgenic 35S:Pto N. benthamiana plants.
