PTPs: Degrading the Undruggable
Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2020By using a proteolysis-targeting chimera (PROTAC) strategy that couples an allosteric, reversible PTP inhibitor with an E3 ligase targeting ligand through a well-designed linker, the first molecule to successfully inhibit PTP activity through degradation has been developed.

Role of Tyrosine Phosphorylation in PTP–PEST
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2023We study the influence of tyrosine phosphorylation on PTP-PEST, a cytosolic protein tyrosine phosphatase. Utilizing a combination of experimental data and computational modeling, specific tyrosine sites, notably Y64 and Y88, are identified for potential phosphorylation.

Identification of Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase (PTP) Substrates
2023Protein tyrosine phosphorylation and dephosphorylation are key regulatory mechanisms in eukaryotes. Protein tyrosine phosphorylation and dephosphorylation are catalyzed by protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) and protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs), respectively.

Spatial Patterning via PTP Adhesive Phosphatases
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1999Signaling pathways to the genome are a common way by which cells communicate with each other and their environment, and are often kineases or phosphatases. Patter formation is the differential spatial specification of gene activity necessary for multicellularity.

Cladistics, 1998
We show empirically that the PTP test has very little discriminatory power, with highly significant PTP test probabilities often being associated with parsimony data that produce trees with low confidence (as measured by bootstrapping) and resolution.

Use of Dominant-Negative/Substrate Trapping PTP Mutations to Search for PTP Interactors/Substrates
2016Phosphorylation of proteins on tyrosine residues is the consequence of coordinated action of tyrosine kinases (TKs), and protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs). Together, they regulate intermolecular interactions, subcellular localization, and activity of a variety of proteins.

Achievements of Nagano ITCS/PTPS
Proceedings 199 IEEE/IEEJ/JSAI International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (Cat. No.99TH8383), 2003The aim of PTPS (Public Transportation Priority Systems), implemented as one of the urban traffic management systems (UTMS) at the winter Olympic games held in Nagano Prefecture in February 1998, was to support the smooth operation of the games by controlling traffic signals to ensure punctual operation of Olympic vehicles transporting Olympic ...

Non-transmembrane PTPs in Cancer
2016In this chapter, we will discuss the role of 14 non-transmembrane (NT) type protein-tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs, encoded by the genes PTPN3, PTPN4, PTPN5, PTPN6, PTPN7, PTPN9, PTPN13, PTPN14, PTPN18, PTPN20, PTPN21, PTPN22, PTPN23, and PTPRR) in cancer.
