Coherent illumination reflected by a remote target may be secondarily scattered by intermediate objects or materials. Here we show that phase retrieval on remotely observed images of such scattered fields enables imaging of the illuminated object at resolution proportional to $λR_s/A_s$, where $R_s$ is the range between the scatterer and the target and

Lensless Imaging via Blind Ptychography Modulation and Wavefront Separation
A novel lensless imaging approach based on ptychography and wavefront separation is proposed in this paper, which was characterized by rapid convergence and high-quality imaging.

3D object hiding using three-dimensional ptychography
We present a novel technique for 3D object hiding by applying three-dimensional ptychography. Compared with 3D information hiding based on holography, the proposed ptychography-based hiding technique is easier to implement, because the reference beam ...

Terahertz reflective ptychography
As a widely used lensless coherent diffraction imaging approach, ptychography has recently been implemented in Terahertz range. Combining with the unique penetration property of THz radiation, THz ptychography allows inspecting visually opaque samples ...

Liquid‐phase transmission electron microscopy enables direct observation of nucleation and growth processes in solution. This review is dedicated to the remembrance of Helmut Cölfen and highlights recent studies on complex materials—oxides, biominerals, organic–inorganic crystals—which were central to his research activity. It summarizes key milestones,

Wavelength-Multiplexed Single-Shot Ptychography
We present multi-wavelength single-shot ptychography, a technique which is ideally suited for imaging dynamically evolving plasmas. Through improvements to single-shot ptychography and a novel probe constraint, wavelength-multiplexed single-shot ...

Spatially Modulated Morphotropic Phase Boundaries in a Compressively Strained Multiferroic Thin Film
ABSTRACT The coexisting rhombohedral‐like (R′, MA) and tetragonal‐like (T′, MC) monoclinic phases in compressively strained bismuth ferrite thin films exhibit exceptional piezoelectric and magnetic properties. While previous studies have largely focused on probing the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPBs) comprising ordered R′/T′ twins, their self ...

Abstract We demonstrate live-updating ptychographic reconstruction with the extended ptychographical iterative engine, an iterative ptychography method, during ongoing data acquisition. The reconstruction starts with a small subset of the total data, and as the acquisition proceeds the data used for reconstruction are extended.

We have developed a guided ptychography iterative engine (gPIE) algorithm that applies the concept of optimization to the conventional ePIE (extended ptychography iterative engine) approach.
