Recyclable PUFs: Logically Reconfigurable PUFs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cryptographic Engineering, 2011
We introduce the concept of Logically Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Functions (LR-PUFs). In contrast to classical Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) LR-PUFs can be dynamically 'reconfigured' after deployment such that their challenge/response behavior changes in a random manner.

PUF-FSM: A Controlled Strong PUF [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 2017
Existing strong controlled physical unclonable function (PUF) designs are built to resist modeling attacks and they deal with noisy PUF responses by exploiting error correction logic. These designs are burdened by the costs of the error correction logic and information shown to leak through the associated helper data for assisting error corrections ...

PA-PUF: A Novel Priority Arbiter PUF

open access: yes2022 IFIP/IEEE 30th International Conference on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI-SoC), 2022
This paper proposes a 3-input arbiter-based novel physically unclonable function (PUF) design. Firstly, a 3-input priority arbiter is designed using a simple arbiter, two multiplexers (2:1), and an XOR logic gate. The priority arbiter has an equal probability of 0's and 1's at the output, which results in excellent uniformity (49.45%) while retrieving ...

A Novel Ultra-Compact FPGA PUF: The DD-PUF [PDF]

open access: yesCryptography, 2021
In this paper, we present a novel ultra-compact Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) architecture and its FPGA implementation. The proposed Delay Difference PUF (DD-PUF) is the most dense FPGA-compatible PUF ever reported in the literature, allowing the implementation of two PUF bits in a single slice and provides very good values for all the most ...

The Monte Carlo PUF [PDF]

open access: yes2017 27th International Conference on Field Programmable Logic and Applications (FPL), 2017
Physically unclonable functions are used for IP protection, hardware authentication and supply chain security. While many PUF constructions have been put forward in the past decade, only few of them are applicable to FPGA platforms.

Optimum conditions of rice puffing - review

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2005
The presented paper reviews the existing literature dealing with rice puffing and optimum conditions of this process. The rice pre-treatment procedures and puffing conditions (dry heat, microwave, gun-puffing) are considered.
