Regulated Cell Death in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 9, 15 May 2026.
This graphical abstract illustrates regulated cell death (RCD) across key pulmonary cell types—including alveolar epithelial cells, fibroblasts, macrophages, and endothelial cells—modulated through a dynamic death modulation network within the IPF microenvironment.

Evaluation of Resorcinarene Trimer Methanesulfonate Aggregation in the Presence of Inorganic Salts and Biomolecules in Aqueous Solutions Using UV–vis Spectroscopy and Electrophoresis

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 9, 14 May 2026.
UV–vis spectra of resorcinarene trimer methanesulfonate were identified in the presence of inorganic salts, choline, and bovine serum albumin. The origin of the peaks was identified. The absorption dynamic over the course of 5 days revealed that Na+ cations promote supramolecular aggregation while choline hinders it.

Overview of molecular signatures of senescence and associated resources: pros and cons

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 5, Page 821-836, May 2026.
Cells can enter a stress response state termed cellular senescence that is involved in various diseases and aging. Detecting these cells is challenging due to the lack of universal biomarkers. This review presents the current state of senescence identification, from biomarkers to molecular signatures, compares tools and approaches, and highlights ...

Biomimetic Copper Nanoparticles Coated with ACE2‐Overexpressing Membranes for Selective SARS‐CoV‐2 Neutralization and Disinfection

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 17, 8 May 2026.
By fusing ACE2‐overexpressing membrane‐integrated liposome (MIL) with copper nanoparticles, the biomimetic Cu@MIL nanostructures were created that directly hijack the SARS‐CoV‐2 entry pathway. These particles combine potent virus‐targeting precision with intrinsic antiviral activity, achieving rapid neutralization and disinfection.

Safe and Localized Lentiviral Gene Delivery via Injectable Mesoporous Scaffolds for Potent Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
This work introduces an injectable mesoporous silica rod scaffold that confines lentiviral vectors to the injection site, enabling localized dendritic cell recruitment and transduction. The platform sustains antigen expression, promotes robust T‐cell activation, and enhances antitumor immunity.
