Abstract Macaws are renowned for processing dry, mechanically resistant fruits, yet the species‐level anatomical and functional correlates of this performance remain incompletely resolved. We examined the feeding apparatus of the Blue‐and‐yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna) using an integrated approach that combines osteology, myology, and bite‐force estimates

Modification of Larch High-Yield Pulps with Ozone.

Early stages of tooth development in the harbor porpoise Phocoena phocoena
Abstract Here we describe the stages of tooth development in toothed whales on the basis of the harbor porpoise (Phocoena phocoena). The aim of the study was to find out whether these stages are identical to those of other mammals analyzed so far although toothed whales are homodont and monophyodont.

The impact of citrus pulp inclusion on milk performance of dairy cows: A meta-analysis
Considering sustainability and circular economy, citrus pulp could become a common dairy feedstuff. Yet, there is no clear indication of the amount of citrus pulp that can be fed without compromising milk performance or that could deliver benefits.

Abstract Hyperodapedontine rhynchosaurs possessed a unique oral apparatus, long interpreted as an adaptation for processing abrasive and resistant plant material. However, the microanatomical and histological evidence supporting this interpretation remains poorly documented.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum on the silage quality, in situ digestibility, and microbial communities of apple pomace silage. The combined supplementation of cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum in apple pomace silage improved fermentation quality and enhanced rumen utilization efficiency.

Dietary fiber (DF) modulates meat quality through the gut‐muscle axis by reshaping gut microbiota, improving intestinal integrity, reducing inflammation, and regulating muscle metabolism. These mechanisms influence muscle fiber characteristics and post‐mortem biochemistry, thereby enhancing tenderness, juiciness, color, flavor, and nutritional value of

Effect of Diluted Acid Pre-Extraction on Soda Pulping of Bagasse [PDF]
Pre-extraction of hemicelluloses prior to pulping allows co-production of pulp and different hemicellulose-based chemicals in the chemical pulp mills. Due to important impact of hemicelluloses on pulp properties, their pre-extraction would be carried out
