Photo-Induced Yellowing of High Yield Pulps
hfsg, 1995Results of the investigation of high yield pulp photoyellowing were compared with those of the photolysis of lignin model compounds in solution. It was shown that oxygen is the most important species transferring reaction energy and free valency from photoexcited parts of lignin to those sites of pulp where reactions proceed.

Optimization and fundamentals of high-yield pulping with ethanol
Wood Science and Technology, 1995A new high-yield pulping process based on ethanol pretreatment and steam cooking was studied. The effect of processing conditions (cooking temperature at six levels and ethanol concentration at five levels) was determined. Optimum results appeared at 30% ethanol concentration and with cooking at 195 °C.
