The Generation Mechanism and Elimination Strategy of Narrow- and Error-Pulse for Cascaded H-Bridge NL-PWM Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
There is a wide application prospect of Nearest level pulse width modulation (NL-PWM) in cascaded H-bridge (CHB) converter, however, it will produce narrow- and error-pulse in the process of implementation, which has a negative impact on CHB efficiency ...

Improvement of electromagnetic compatibility of motor drives using chaotic PWM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper, a new chaotic pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme is proposed and implemented to reduce the conducted electro-magnetic interference (EMI) in motor drives. The key is the use of logistic mapping to chaoize a frequency-modulated signal which

A computative decision of pulse width in three-phase PWM inverter [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
A novel PWM (pulsewidth modulation) technique is proposed for a three-phase sine-wave PWM inverter. The pulse width is designed to produce a sine-wave output voltage by numerical calculation based on a geometrical technique.

Digital Actuation Control of Soft Robotic Origami With Self‐Folding Liquid Crystal Elastomer Hinges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐folding soft‐rigid hybrid robotic origami is enabled by liquid crystal elastomer actuators with embedded Joule heating and closed‐loop digital control. Digitally addressable hinges provide reversible and programmable transitions between distinct folded states while maintaining actuation performance at high cycle counts (over 1500).

Interleaved Pulse Width Modulation Based on Modified Carrier in Parallel Operation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
An interleaved pulse width modulation (PWM) can be employed in a parallel operation of three-phase converters because the interleaved PWM increases the equivalent switching frequency and significantly enhances the output current harmonics.
