The Effects and Mechanisms of Pomegranate on Regulating Lipid Metabolism
This study established a high‐fat diet‐induced hyperlipidemia rat model to investigate the lipid‐lowering effects of pomegranate. Pomegranate intervention significantly reduced serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), and low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL‐C) levels, while alleviating hepatic steatosis by decreasing liver weight and fat ...

Lung cancer (LC) remains the leading cause of global cancer‐related death. Phytochemicals from medicinal plants are increasingly being considered as potential LC treatment agents due to their multi‐targeted action, safety, and accessibility. These have anticancer properties by regulating key molecular signaling pathways.

Impact of Punicalagin on the Physicochemical and Structural Properties of Wheat Flour Dough
The study explored punicalagin (PGN) as a wheat flour enhancer. The impact of PGN on the physicochemical and structural properties of wheat flour have been investigated. It turned out that PGN increased the formation time, stability, tensile resistance, extension, and viscoelasticity of the dough at the concentrations of 0.13 and 0.26 mg/g.

Dual hypopigmentary effects of punicalagin via the ERK and Akt pathways
Punicalagin is a phenolic compound with antioxidant properties. However, the effects of punicalagin on melanin synthesis have been poorly evaluated. Therefore, we investigated the effects of punicalagin on melanogenesis in Mel-Ab cells. Punicalagin significantly inhibited melanin synthesis in a dose-dependent manner.
