Strategy for Pure Hydrophobic Chromatography

1978
Hydrophobic adsorption chromatography as a generally useful methodology for the purification of enzymes, is emerging as a logical complement to the well established ion-exchange chromatography. It is even tempting to suggest that in time the use of hydrophobic adsorption methods could eclipse the presently popular affinity methods for enzyme ...

On the Openness of Unique Pure-Strategy Nash Equilibrium

The B.E. Journal of Theoretical Economics, 2018
AbstractThis paper investigates whether small perturbations to a game with continuous strategy spaces and unique Nash equilibrium also yields a game with unique equilibrium. The answer is affirmative for games with smooth payoffs, differentiable strict concavity in own actions, and transversal intersection of best response curves.

The Nash Equilibria in Pure Strategies

1994
A full game theoretic analysis of the two-person game with incomplete information is not available in the literature. It might be helpful to know something about the set of the equilibrium points of this game in order to make a prediction of the experimental results and the shape of the strategies. Therefore, we shall solve the game for Nash equilibria

Pure strategy nash equilibria with continuous objectives

Journal of Economic Theory, 1985
The paper shows that the set of n-person games with given strategy spaces such that there is no Nash equilibrium in pure strategies is open and dense in the space of n-tuples of reaction functions as well as in the space of continuous objective functions, when these spaces are endowed with natural topologies.
