Purification complexity without purifications [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Abstract We generalize the Fubini-Study method for pure-state complexity to generic quantum states by taking Bures metric or quantum Fisher information metric (QFIM) on the space of density matrices as the complexity measure.

Lindbladian purification [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum Science and Technology, 2017
In a recent work [D. K. Burgarth et al., Nat. Commun. 5, 5173 (2014)] it was shown that a series of frequent measurements can project the dynamics of a quantum system onto a subspace in which the dynamics can be more complex. In this subspace even full controllability can be achieved, although the controllability over the system before the projection ...

Hamiltonian purification [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2015
The problem of Hamiltonian purification introduced by Burgarth et al. [Nat. Commun. 5, 5173 (2014)] is formalized and discussed. Specifically, given a set of non-commuting Hamiltonians {h1, …, hm} operating on a d-dimensional quantum system ℋd, the problem consists in identifying a set of commuting Hamiltonians {H1, …, Hm} operating on a larger dE ...

The entanglement of purification [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2002
We introduce a measure of both quantum as well as classical correlations in a quantum state, the entanglement of purification. We show that the (regularized) entanglement of purification is equal to the entanglement cost of creating a state ρ asymptotically from maximally entangled states, with negligible communication.

Purification of Bionanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Engineering & Technology, 2008
AbstractThe recent demand for nanoparticulate products such as viruses, plasmids, protein nanoparticles, and drug delivery systems have resulted in the requirement for predictable and controllable production processes. Protein nanoparticles are an attractive candidate for gene and molecular therapy due to their relatively easy production and ...

Purification of Erythropoietin [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1971
Erythropoietin, the hormone that is the primary regulator of erythrocyte production, has been purified from anemic-sheep plasma, with a purification factor of more than 1 million. Gel electrophoresis shows that the major contaminant is desialated erythropoietin.

Purification of Glomerulopressin

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1987
The present investigation was undertaken to attempt the purification of glomerulopressin. Isolated rat livers were perfused with Krebs-Ringer bicarbonate, and the perfusate was concentrated at reduced pressure, extracted with n-butanol, and subjected to thin-layer chromatography (TLC) with different solvent systems.
