We present a direct method for evaluating metabolism in intact hPSC‐derived cerebral organoids (COs) via HR‐MAS 1H‐NMR spectroscopy. This approach suggests that COs exhibit a metabolic profile similar to in vivo human fetal brain, with high levels of lactate and hTau, low levels of NAA, and equimolar levels of Glu and Gln.

The protective effects of cysteamine, putrescine, and the combination of cysteamine and putrescine on fibrosarcoma induced in mice with 3-methylcholanthrene [PDF]
In this study, the protective effects of cysteamine, putrescine, and the combination of cysteamine and putrescine were investigated in mice with fibrosarcoma induced with 3-methylcholanthrene (3-MC).

Metabolic Signatures of Aging and Gametogenesis in Hydra oligactis
Hydra oligactis undergoes cold‐induced sexual differentiation and aging, culminating in death. GC–MS‐based metabolite profiling revealed signatures of gametogenesis, for example, polyamine accumulation, and of aging, such as loss of cytoprotection and neurotransmitter function, including taurine depletion.

Climate change and crop resilience: harnessing metabolomics for predicting stress tolerance
Summarised methodology for metabolite biomarker discovery and genomic targets selection for those metabolites to predict high‐throughput phenotypic and agronomic traits of interest for direct uptake in breeding programmes. Summary Global warming is driving climate change to levels not experienced since the advent of agriculture, primarily due to ...

Thioredoxin system modulates metabolic and stomatal responses to elevated CO2 in Arabidopsis
Integrative model of extraplastidial NADPH‐dependent thioredoxin reductase/thioredoxin system‐mediated regulation of stomatal function, redox homeostasis, and metabolic responses under ambient and elevated CO2 in Arabidopsis thaliana. Summary The NADPH‐dependent thioredoxin reductase/thioredoxin (NTR/TRX) system plays a central role in maintaining ...

PTC carbamylates ornithine in addition to putrescine. [PDF]
(A) Approach to equilibrium in the carbamylation of ornithine (open symbols) using either OTC (squares) or PTC (triangles) from E. faecalis as catalyst and comparison with the equilibrium for putrescine carbamylation catalyzed by PTC (closed symbols ...

Rhizobacteria‐Induced Systemic Priming Against Fungal Pathogens Involves Hydroxycinnamic Acid Amides
ABSTRACT The rhizosphere, a narrow region of soil surrounding roots, contains diverse microorganisms with a composition that is distinct from the surrounding soil. Some rhizosphere bacteria can trigger a heightened state of immunity in the whole plant, termed Induced Systemic Resistance (ISR).
