To the Editor.— The study of Van de Bor et al1 appears to demonstrate differences in myelination between infants with and without periventricular leukomalacia (PVL). However, we feel that it does not demonstrate, as stated, that PVL causes delayed myelination, whereas periventricular-intraventricular hemorhage (PIVH) does not.
