One-pot synthesis of perhydrofuro[2,3-b]pyran derivatives [PDF]
TiCl 4 mediated addition of 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran to (2-trimethylsilyl)ethyl pyruvate results in a one-pot addition-cyclisation sequence to deliver a functionalised perhydrofuro[2,3-b]pyran derivative in good ...

Sapindus mukorossi fruit pericarp is a promising source of polar polyphenols and amphiphilic saponins, with the 70% ethanol extract showing the richest phytochemical profile and strongest α‐amylase inhibition. Its solvent‐dependent bioactive composition suggests potential application in managing postprandial hyperglycemia by modulating dietary starch ...

Danishefsky’s Diene vs Rawal’s Diene in [4+2] Hetero-Diels-Alder Reactions with Aldehydes
The Diels-Alder reaction remains one of the most versatile and widely employed cycloaddition strategies in synthetic organic chemistry. The development of functionalized dienes, particularly Danishefsky’s diene (DD) and Rawal’s diene (RD), has ...

Urolithin A (UA) treatment enhances the Nrf2/HO‐1‐mediated antioxidant capacity against ischemic injury postischemic stroke, while also effectively suppressing neuroinflammatory responses. Both of these regulatory effects are likely associated with the NF‐κB signaling pathway, which in turn inhibits neuronal apoptosis and contributes to the improvement

Fermentation significantly altered the dominant bacterial genera from Sphingomonas and Pleomorphomonas (before fermentation) to Weissella and Lactobacillus (after fermentation), while Cladosporium and Fusarium remained the dominant fungal genera. Notably, non‐volatile compounds in de‐pulping coffee beans and volatile compounds of roasted coffee beans ...

Uptake and Transport of Monotropein and Monotropein Esters in a Caco‐2/HT29‐MTX‐E12 Co‐Culture Model
Monotropein and its naturally occurring ester derivatives (monotropein‐10‐coumarate and monotropein‐10‐cinnamate) from Gaultheria spp. berries exhibit limited intestinal permeability in a validated Caco‐2:HT29‐MTX‐E12 co‐culture model. Absorption occurs predominantly via passive diffusion, with partial SGLT1‐ and OATP‐mediated uptake contribution for ...

An efficient and solvent‐free sustainable one‐pot protocol is developed for the synthesis of broad range of dibenzoxanthenes using 5 mol% Bronsted acidic ionic liquid [VSBIM][Cl]. The versatility of the methodology was demonstrated by the effective synthesis of 19 dibenzoxanthene derivatives up to 90%–95% yields.
