Structural and Biological Insights Into Copper(I) Phosphane Complexes With Boron‐Phenylated Poly(3‐(CF3)Pyrazolyl)‐ and Poly(6‐(CF3)‐2‐pyridyl)‐Borates

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This study reports six new copper(I) complexes with unusual coordination and strong anticancer activity against a panel of human cancer cell lines derived from different solid tumors. The most active compounds outperform cisplatin, even in resistant cells, by inhibiting protein disulfide isomerase and inducing redox stress that triggers non‐apoptotic ...

Ultrasound-promoted iodination of pyrazoles in aqueous medium

open access: yesOrbital: The Electronic Journal of Chemistry, 2012
Several pharmacological activities have been devoted to pyrazole containing molecules. In particular, 4-iodopyrazoles have been employed as key starting materials in cross-coupling chemistry and metal-iodine exchange reactions that focus on the synthesis

Iridium Complexes of a Triazole‐Derived Pincer Ligand: Synthesis, Reactivity, and Transfer Dehydrogenation Catalysis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Ir pincer complexes bearing a triazole architecture in the pincer backbone and O‐ancillary chelating ligands are presented. These were employed in the catalytic transfer dehydrogenation of alkanes as well as of saturated heterocycles. Reactivity of these complexes with silver salts and Lewis acids produced various cationic iridium complexes.

Sustainable Hydrogen Production by Glycerol and Monosaccharides Catalytic Acceptorless Dehydrogenation (AD) in Homogeneous Phase

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
Sustainable hydrogen production can be obtained from hydogen‐rich biomass‐derived organic molecules through Acceptorless Dehydrogenation (AD) reactions. Glycerol and sugars are available in large quantities from industry and can be successfully used as substrates in AD protocols, in the presence of tailored, selective, easily tunable and thermally ...

Simple and Efficient Protocol for the Synthesis of Novel Dihydro-1H-Pyrano[2,3-C]Pyrazol-6-Ones via a one-Pot Four-Component Reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Ba(OH)2 catalyzed simple and efficient one-pot four-component reaction of Meldrums acid, ethyl acetoacetate, hydrazine hydrate, and aromatic aldehydes to give 3-methyl-4-aryl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazol-6-ones in refluxing water is reported.

Expanded Scorpionate and Siderophore‐Inspired Ligands: From Foundational Designs to Modern Applications

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The concept of scorpionate ligands has evolved significantly since the introduction of tris(pyrazolyl)borate. By integrating a biological supramolecular ligand scaffold with the classic scorpionate architecture, researchers have made notable strides in mimicking the active sites of nitrogenase and advancing homogeneous catalysis.

Calixarene alpha-ketoacetylenes: versatile platforms for reaction with hydrazine nucleophile [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Late stage diversification of calix[4]arenes and thiacalix[4]arenes with heterocycles remains a significant synthetic challenge and hampers further exploitation of the scaffolds.

Correlation Between the Molecular Structure of Metal‐Supporting Ligands and Catalysis in the Oxygenase‐Mimicking Immobilized Metal Complex Catalysts

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The correlation between the structures of metal complexes immobilized in the mesopores of hydrophobically modified silicate supports was examined in relation to the catalytic activities toward C‐H oxidation. On the alkene oxidation with H2O2, the iron catalyst bearing bis(imidazolyl)methane ligand promotes allylic oxidation, whereas the mononuclear ...
