Magnetic amine-functionalized graphene oxide as a novel and recyclable bifunctional nanocatalyst for solvent-free synthesis of pyrano[3,2-c]pyridine derivatives [PDF]

open access: yesNanochemistry Research, 2017
The new magnetic amine-functionalized graphene oxide (Fe3O4-GO-NH2) nanocatalyst was prepared through the reaction of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) with magnetic graphene oxide (Fe3O4-GO).

Reaction of Pyridine Bases with Carboxylic Acids in Benzene [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1977
Abstract The reaction of pyridine bases with aliphatic monocarboxylic acids has been studied by means of the partition method. Partition was carried out at 25 °C between benzene and 0.10 mol dm−3 (Na, H) ClO4 aqueous solution, the total concentration of pyridine base and that of carboxylic acid being less than 2×10−2 mol dm−3 and 1.0 mol

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.
