Passivating Lead Halide Perovskites Using Pyridinium Salts with Superhalogen Atoms

open access: yes, 2022
Passivating lead halide perovskites using pyridinium salts has attracted enormous attention, but the excellent surface passivation of the halide perovskites has not been achieved by using only a pyridinium salt until now.

Bis(4,4′-bipyridin-1-ium) cis-bis(1,2-dicyano-2-sulfidoethene-1-sulfinato-κ2S,S′)platinate(2−)

open access: yesIUCrData
Crystals of the sulfinate-containing platinate salt, (C10H9N2)2[Pt(C4N2O2S2)2], were obtained from a solution of [Pt(4,4′-bpy)2(mnt)] after a long period with minimal light (4,4′-bpy is 4,4′-bipyridine and mnt is maleonitriledithiolate). In the crystals,

Regulation of Crystallization Kinetics via Zwitterionic Additive for Efficient and Operationally Stable Formamidinium Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a zwitterionic additive, Cl‐PPS, to regulate crystallization kinetics and passivate defects in formamidinium‐based perovskite solar cells. Cl‐PPS promotes direct α‐phase formation, minimizes necessary MACl loading, and induces highly crystalline, vertically oriented grains.

4-Cyanopyridinium chloride

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2012
In the crystal structure of the title salt, C6H5N2+·Cl−, the pyridinium cation links to the Cl− anion via an N—H...Cl hydrogen bond. Weak C—H...Cl interactions also occur.
