Autophagy in PE: Dispute, Role and Potential Target

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Autophagy homeostasis serves as a central hub regulating vascular remodelling during pregnancy. It integrates maternal, genetic, and fetal factors; shapes the functions of immune cells (NK cells, macrophages, and T cells); restrains endothelial inflammatory responses (cytokines, endothelial cell, oxidative/ER stress, and protein aggregation); and ...

LCN2‐ACOD1 Signalling Affects the Post‐Injury Regeneration of Skeletal Muscle Through Mediating Ferroptosis

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
LCN2 mediates the suppression of C2C12 myoblast proliferation and myotube formation via erastin‐induced ferroptosis. Mechanistically, the LCN2‐ACOD1 axis regulates skeletal muscle growth via mitochondria‐associated ferroptosis, providing a theoretical basis for the prevention and therapy of muscle‐related diseases.

Gasdermins: multifunctional effectors of membrane permeabilization across cellular compartments

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Gasdermins (GSDMs) are pore‐forming proteins best known for driving pyroptosis through plasma membrane (PM) permeabilization. Beyond triggering inflammatory cell death, GSDMs can also associate with organelle membranes, including mitochondria, lysosomes, ER, and nucleus, where they modulate membrane integrity and cellular signaling.

A patient‐derived orthotopic xenograft model unveils metastatic dynamics in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Metastasis in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC) poses significant clinical challenges. This proof‐of‐concept study establishes patient‐derived orthotopic xenografts (PDOXs) as advanced models that closely replicate primary HNSC tumours, including local lymph node metastasis and the intricate cancer–stroma interaction.
