Characterization of one novel cry8 gene from Bacillus thuringiensis strain Q52-7
World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2014Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is the most widely used insecticidal microbe due to its specific toxicity and safe use with respect to animals and the environment. In this study, we isolated Bt strain Q52-7 from a soil sample collected in the Qian Shan District, Liao Ning Province, China. We observed that the Q52-7 strain produced spherical crystals.

Immunologic memory to PC-KLH: participation of the Q52 VH gene family.
Journal of Immunology, 1987Abstract BALB/c mice immunized with phosphocholine-conjugated keyhole limpet hemocyanin respond with two major groups of antibodies that differ with respect to fine specificity and idiotype. Group I antibodies predominantly bear the T15 idiotype, and show appreciable affinity for the haptens PC and nitrophenyl PC (NPPC), whereas group II

Preferential usage of JH2 in D-J joinings with DQ52 in murine lymphocytes
International Immunology, 1989Southern blot analysis of genomic DNA of normal mouse thymocytes with a JH4 probe, a probe for JH4 of Igh genes, consistently showed a second band in addition to a germline band. The same band was also observed in analysis with a 5' DQ probe, a 5'-flanking sequence of DQ52, thus suggesting the use of DQ52. By analyzing EcoRI- and PvuII-digested genomic

AbstractRearrangement of DQ52 with JH in IgH genes takes place in a large part of lymphocytes at a very early stage of differentiation although usage of DQ52 seems to be limited in the functional IgH genes of mature B cells. A possible and likely explanation for this, is secondary D‐JH joinings occurring after the initial DQ52‐JH joinings, which ...

AbstractIn mice, 12 germ‐line DH genes belonging to three different families (DQ52, DSP2 and DFL16) have been identified. The DH genes other than DQ52 are clustered in the 60 kb‐long region located between VH and JH genes. Since there are seven DH gene families (DHQ52, DXP, DA, DK, DN, DM and DLR) in humans, we tried to identify new DH gene families in
