Electrospun nanofibers with CdTe QDs, CdTeSe QDs and CdTe/CdS core-shell QDs
2017 IEEE 7th International Conference Nanomaterials: Application & Properties (NAP), 2017In this study, a novel method is used to prepare water-soluble CdTe, CdTeSe quantum dots (QDS) and CdTe/CdS core-shell QDs by using Te, Se, NaBH 4 , and CdCl 2 as precursors. It is aimed to prepare polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/QDs composite nanofibers by electrospinning process.

The authors consider the block \(qd\) algorithm for block tridiagonal positive definite symmetric matrices, where the blocks are \(\ell \times \ell\) matrices. It is shown that the eigenvalues \(\lambda_i^{(k)}\), \(k \in N\), of the first block on the block diagonal of the decomposition obtained in the \(k\)th step of the \(qd\) algorithm constitute ...

Optical gas sensor based on the combination of a QD photoluminescent probe and a QD photodetector
Nanotechnology, 2022Abstract We report on a sensor architecture for detection of hazardous gases. The proposed device is based on the integration of a solid-state quantum dot (QD) photoluminescent probe with a QD photodetector on the same substrate.

The paper presents an algorithm to compute the singular values and the singular vectors of a square bidiagonal matrix. This algorithm uses the differential form of the generalized Givens transformation to compute the orthogonal \(qd\)-steps, and two different shift strategies based on Newton's and Laguerre's methods to compute the zeros of a polynomial.

Determination of amines based on their interaction with QDs: Effect of the formation QD-assemblies
Analytica Chimica Acta, 2011Assemblies of closed nanoparticles have focused interest because they exhibit new optical and chemical properties. The use of a 1D covalent strategy for quantum dots-assemblies has been proposed in this work as novelty. It was studied the effect of use different dithiols, including aromatic and aliphatic dithiol compounds, on the formation of QDs ...

Heating Effects of Colloidal ZnO Quantum Dots (QDs) on ZnO QD/CdSe QD/MoOx Photodetectors
IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, 2017In this paper, the effects of heat treatment of a colloidal ZnO quantum dot (QD) (diameter ∼1.83–2.43 nm) based electron transport layer (ETL) on the performance of ZnO QD/CdSe QD/MoO x /Ag photodetectors (PDs) have been investigated possibly for the first time.
