New boundary monodromy matrices for classical sigma models

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
The 2d principal models without boundaries have G×G symmetry. The already known integrable boundaries have either H×H or GD symmetries, where H is such a subgroup of G for which G/H is a symmetric space while GD is the diagonal subgroup of G×G.

A robust generalization of the Legendre transform for QFT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Although perturbative quantum field theory is highly successful, it possesses a number of well-known analytic problems, from ultraviolet and infrared divergencies to the divergence of the perturbative expansion itself.

Enhancing Distributed State Estimation of Power Grid With a Simplified Quantum Algorithm

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper presents the application of the Harrow‐Hassidim‐Lloyd (HHL) algorithm and its simplified quantum circuit to distributed state estimation in power grids. The results show that the proposed approach successfully tackles distributed state estimation in a power grid, underscoring its potential as a practical quantum computing solution for this ...

Discordance of 3rd and 4th generation QuantiFERON-TB Gold assays by pregnancy stages in India

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Tuberculosis and Other Mycobacterial Diseases
Background: Pregnancy and HIV affect CD4+ T lymphocytes and impact performance of QuantiFERON-TB Gold (QFT). We compared the results of QFT with QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus (QFT-Plus), which also measures CD8+ responses to TB antigens, during pregnancy and ...

Notes on generalized global symmetries in QFT [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
It was recently argued that quantum field theories possess one‐form and higher‐form symmetries, labelled ‘generalized global symmetries.’ In this paper, we describe how those higher‐form symmetries can be understood mathematically as special cases of ...

Relative Chaoticity of Natural Languages

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This paper presents a novel approach to analyzing and grouping natural languages based on the degree of their chaoticity. It clusters 52 languages from 18 language families, according to the value of the entropy–complexity pair, to reveal the chaotic properties of semantic trajectories.

A Superalgebra Within: Representations of Lightest Standard Model Particles Form a Z25$\mathbb {Z}_2^5$‐Graded Algebra

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 537, Issue 12, December 2025.
A set of particle representations, familiar from the Standard Model, collectively form a superalgebra. Those representations mirroring the behaviour of the Standard Model's gauge bosons, and three generations of fermions, are each included in this algebra, with exception only to those representations involving the top quark.

Nonstandard Bethe Ansatz equations for open O(N) spin chains

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2018
The double row transfer matrix of the open O(N) spin chain is diagonalized and the Bethe Ansatz equations are also derived by the algebraic Bethe Ansatz method including the so far missing case when the residual symmetry is O(2M+1)×O(2N−2M−1).
