Exploring Imprecise Probabilities in Quantum Algorithms with Possibility Theory

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Quantum computing utilizes the underlying principles of quantum mechanics to perform computations with unmatched performance capabilities. Rather than using classical bits, it operates on qubits, which can exist in superposition and entangled states. This enables the solution of problems that are considered intractable for classical computers.

The pragmatic QFT measurement problem and the need for a Heisenberg-like cut in QFT

open access: yesSynthese, 2023
AbstractDespite quantum theory’s remarkable success at predicting the statistical results of experiments, many philosophers worry that it nonetheless lacks some crucial connection between theory and experiment. Such worries constitute the Quantum Measurement Problems.

PSO algorithm-based robust design of PID controller for variable time-delay systems: AQM application

open access: yesJournal of Computer Science and Technology, 2015
This paper formulates a robust control for variable time-delay system models. An automatic tuning method for PID-type controller is proposed. The adopted method integrates robust control design using Quantitative Feedback Theory (QFT) with Particle Swan ...

The frequencies of IFNγ+IL2+TNFα+ PPD-specific CD4+CD45RO+ T-cells correlate with the magnitude of the QuantiFERON® gold in-tube response in a prospective study of healthy indian adolescents.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
BackgroundQuantiFERON-TB Gold In-Tube (QFT) is an IFNγ-release assay used in the diagnosis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) infection. The risk of TB progression increases with the magnitude of the MTB-specific IFNγ-response.

Monopoles, Clarified

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT We propose a manifestly duality‐invariant, Lorentz‐invariant, and local action to describe quantum electrodynamics in the presence of magnetic monopoles that derives from Sen's formalism. By employing field strengths as the dynamical variables, rather than potentials, this formalism resolves longstanding ambiguities in prior frameworks.

Algebraic Lattices in QFT Renormalization [PDF]

open access: yesLetters in Mathematical Physics, 2016
The structure of overlapping subdivergences, which appear in the perturbative expansions of quantum field theory, is analyzed using algebraic lattice theory. It is shown that for specific QFTs the sets of subdivergences of Feynman diagrams form algebraic lattices. This class of QFTs includes the Standard model.

Case-Control study of Firefighters with documented positive tuberculin skin test results using Quantiferon-TB testing in comparison with Firefighters with negative tuberculin skin test results

open access: yesJournal of Occupational Medicine and Toxicology, 2006
Background Phoenix Firefighters have had abnormally high rates of tuberculin skin test (TBST) results on medical surveillance. The objectives of this study were to evaluate our firefighters using QuantiFERON-TB (QFT), comparing the results to their TBST ...

Testing for Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection using the QuantiFERON-TB GOLD assay in patients with comorbid conditions in a tertiary care endemic setting

open access: yesTropical Diseases, Travel Medicine and Vaccines, 2020
Introduction There were 10 million new cases of tuberculosis (TB) in 2017. To eliminate TB, it is necessary to diagnose active TB and latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI).

Hybrid Quantum–Classical Graph Transformers for Efficient Sentiment Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2026.
The Quantum Graph Transformer (QGT) integrates quantum self‐attention into graph‐based neural networks for sentiment classification. By replacing classical attention with parameterized quantum circuits, QGT achieves 29.4×$\times$ parameter reduction while requiring 3–5×$\times$ fewer training samples to reach comparable accuracy, demonstrating ...
