Algebraic Lattices in QFT Renormalization [PDF]

open access: yesLetters in Mathematical Physics, 2016
The structure of overlapping subdivergences, which appear in the perturbative expansions of quantum field theory, is analyzed using algebraic lattice theory. It is shown that for specific QFTs the sets of subdivergences of Feynman diagrams form algebraic lattices. This class of QFTs includes the Standard model.

PHANTOM UNIVERSE FROM CPT SYMMETRIC QFT [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2006
We develop a generalization of semiclassical field theory for the case of non-Hermitian Hamiltonians with CPT symmetry and construct a classical cosmological, scalar-field based model describing a smooth transition from ordinary dark energy to the phantom one.

What is QFT? Resurgent trans-series, Lefschetz thimbles, and new exact saddles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This is an introductory level review of recent applications of resurgent trans-series and Picard-Lefschetz theory to quantum mechanics and quantum field theory. Resurgence connects local perturbative data with global topological structure.

Quantum Operations in Algebraic QFT

open access: yesNote di Matematica, 2023
Conformal Quantum Field Theories (CFT) in 1 or 1+1 spacetime dimensions (respectively called chiral and full CFTs) admit several "axiomatic" (mathematically rigorous and model-independent) formulations. In this note, we deal with the von Neumann algebraic formulation due to Haag and Kastler, mainly restricted to the chiral CFT setting.

Comments on the RG‐Flow in Open String Field Theory

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract We define a metric G$G$ on the KBc‐subalgebra modulo gauge and describe the worldsheet RG‐flow as the gradient flow of the action of cubic open string field theory, where the flow lines are kink‐solitons. In particular, for a constant tachyon the gradient flow equations are equivalent to the RG‐equations. Additionally, a more general family of

The frequencies of IFNγ+IL2+TNFα+ PPD-specific CD4+CD45RO+ T-cells correlate with the magnitude of the QuantiFERON® gold in-tube response in a prospective study of healthy indian adolescents.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
BackgroundQuantiFERON-TB Gold In-Tube (QFT) is an IFNγ-release assay used in the diagnosis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) infection. The risk of TB progression increases with the magnitude of the MTB-specific IFNγ-response.

Combined Analysis of IFN-γ, IL-2, IL-5, IL-10, IL-1RA and MCP-1 in QFT Supernatant Is Useful for Distinguishing Active Tuberculosis from Latent Infection

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
The QuantiFERON®-TB Gold In-Tube test (QFT), an interferon-γ release assay, is used to diagnose Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but its inaccuracy in distinguishing active tuberculosis from latent infection is a major concern.

Toward Useful Quantum Kernels

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 12, December 2025.
The hybrid approach to Quantum Supervised Machine Learning is compatible with Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum (NISQ) devices but hardly useful. Pure quantum kernels requiring fault‐tolerant quantum computers are more promising. Examples are kernels computed by means of the Quantum Fourier Transform (QFT) and kernels defined via the calculation of ...

Testing for Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection using the QuantiFERON-TB GOLD assay in patients with comorbid conditions in a tertiary care endemic setting

open access: yesTropical Diseases, Travel Medicine and Vaccines, 2020
Introduction There were 10 million new cases of tuberculosis (TB) in 2017. To eliminate TB, it is necessary to diagnose active TB and latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI).

Predicting Flow in Fracture Networks With Quantum Algorithms

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract Uncertainty quantification plays a crucial role in the modeling of subsurface flow. For instance, uncertainties in the properties of geologic fracture networks significantly impact flow, requiring numerous simulations to accurately estimate quantities of interest.
