Relaxing the optimality conditions of box QP [PDF]
We present semidefinite relaxations of nonconvex, box-constrained quadratic programming, which incorporate the first- and second-order necessary optimality conditions, and establish theoretical relationships between the new relaxations and a basic semidefinite relaxation due to Shor.

ABSTRACT This paper presents evidence of glacier surging in the British landform record. We use new high‐resolution multibeam‐echosounder bathymetry data to map the submarine geomorphology of a former tidewater glacier that drained the Skye Icefield, NW Scotland, during the Younger Dryas Stadial (Greenland Stadial 1) ca. 12.9–11.7 ka.

Pseudo-Landau levels of Bogoliubov quasiparticles in strained nodal superconductors
Motivated by theory and experiments on strain induced pseudo-Landau levels (LLs) of Dirac fermions in graphene and topological materials, we consider its extension for Bogoliubov quasiparticles (QPs) in a nodal superconductor (SC).

Abstract The food enzyme pullulanase (pullulan 6‐α‐glucanohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.41) is produced by Amano Enzymes Inc. with the non‐genetically modified Klebsiella pneumoniae strain AE‐PUL, a known human pathogen. The food enzyme is free from viable cells of the production organism and its DNA.

Full control over the spatio-temporal structure of quantum states of light is an important goal in quantum optics, to generate for instance single-mode quantum pulses or to encode information on multiple modes, enhancing channel capacities. Quantum light

Safety of Clostridium butyricum TO‐A as a novel food pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2015/2283
Abstract Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Nutrition, Novel Foods and Food Allergens (NDA) was asked to deliver an opinion on Clostridium butyricum TO‐A as a novel food (NF) pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2015/2283. The NF, which is proposed by the applicant to be used as a food supplement, is sufficiently characterised ...

Breaking time-reversal symmetry with a superconducting flux capacitor
We present the design of a passive, on-chip microwave circulator based on a ring of superconducting tunnel junctions. We investigate two distinct physical realisations, based on either Josephson junctions (JJ) or quantum phase slip elements (QPS), with ...

Safety of the proposed amendment of the specifications of the food additive E960c(i) or E960c(ii)
Abstract The EFSA Panel on Food Additives and Flavourings (FAF Panel) provides a scientific opinion on the safety of the proposed amendment of the EU specifications of Rebaudioside M produced via enzyme‐catalysed bioconversion (E960c(i) or E 960c(ii)), to include a different microorganism strain in the definition.

Stimulated quantum phase slips from weak electromagnetic radiations in superconducting nanowires
We study the rate of quantum phase slips in an ultranarrow superconducting nanowire exposed to weak electromagnetic radiations. The superconductor is in the dirty limit close to the superconducting-insulating transition, where fluxoids move in strong ...

Abstract The connection between two recent descriptions of tensor hierarchies — namely, infinity-enhanced Leibniz algebroids, given by Bonezzi & Hohm and Lavau & Palmkvist, and the p-brane QP-manifolds constructed by Arvanitakis — is made precise.
