Safety and efficacy of a feed additive consisting of l‐isoleucine produced with Corynebacterium glutamicum CGMCC 32505 for all animal species (Xinjiang Fufeng Biotechnologies Co., Ltd)

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of the feed additive consisting of l‐isoleucine produced by fermentation with Corynebacterium glutamicum CGMCC 32505 as a nutritional additive in feed or water for drinking for all animal species and categories.

Interfacial Polysulfide Confinement via Spatially Controlled Sulfonated Metal–Organic Polyhedra Coatings in Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 38, 9 July 2026.
Spatially controlled sulfonated metal–organic polyhedra (SMOP) coating on sulfur‐loaded hollow carbon spheres form ultrathin, conformal interfacial barriers that selectively confine soluble polysulfides, stabilize sulfur redox, and suppress shuttle reactions.

Initial psychometric validation of the questionnaire on pain caused by spasticity (QPS)

open access: yesHealth and Quality of Life Outcomes, 2017
Background The Questionnaire on Pain caused by Spasticity (QPS) is a modular patient- and observer-reported outcome measure of spasticity-related pain (SRP) in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Originally developed for an English-speaking population, we

Eco‐Geography Reverses Dominant AMR Reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae: Integron‐Rich Mobilomes and Cross‐Niche Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 42, 28 July 2026.
Dominant antimicrobial resistance reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae vary across eco‐geographic settings rather than following a universal pattern. Integrated One Health and global genomic analyses show that lineage structure, integron load, and cross‐niche connectivity shape whether AMR burden accumulates primarily in human or nonhuman compartments ...

Choosing Covariate Balancing Methods for Causal Inference: Practical Insights From a Simulation Study

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 15-17, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Weighting methods are widely used for confounding adjustment in observational studies, but their finite‐sample behavior depends on implementation choices and empirical overlap. We compare IPTW, just‐ and over‐identified covariate balancing propensity score (CBPS), CBPS by tailored‐loss function (CBPS‐TLF), energy balancing (EB), and

On the General Ranks of QP Representations

open access: yesAlgebras and Representation Theory
We propose a mutation formula for the general rank from a principal component ${\rm PC}(δ)$ of representations to another one ${\rm PC}(ε)$ for a quiver with potential. We give sufficient conditions for the formula to hold. In particular, the formula holds when any of $δ$ and $ε$ is reachable. We discover several related mutation invariants.

Flux–charge duality and topological quantum phase fluctuations in quasi-one-dimensional superconductors

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
It has long been thought that macroscopic phase coherence breaks down in effectively lower-dimensional superconducting systems even at zero temperature due to enhanced topological quantum phase fluctuations.

Comparison of the efficacy of topical heparin quick penetrating solution and intravenous hydrocortisone in the prevention of thrombophlebitis: A randomised controlled study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Scientific Research
Background: Superficial thrombophlebitis is a common complication associated with intravenous (IV) cannulation. We compared the efficacy of topical heparin quick penetrating solution (QPS) and IV hydrocortisone in the prevention of superficial ...
