Modular, Textile‐Based Soft Robotic Grippers for Agricultural Produce Handling
This article introduces textile‐based pneumatic grippers that transform simple textiles into robust bending actuators. Detailed experiments uncover how cut geometry and fabric selection shape performance. Successful handling of fragile agricultural items showcases the potential of textile robotics for safe, scalable automation in food processing and ...

Improving the Linearized Laplace Approximation via Quadratic Approximations
Deep neural networks (DNNs) often produce overconfident out-of-distribution predictions, motivating Bayesian uncertainty quantification. The Linearized Laplace Approximation (LLA) achieves this by linearizing the DNN and applying Laplace inference to the resulting model. Importantly, the linear model is also used for prediction.

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Existence and approximation of solutions of second order nonlinear Neumann problems
We study existence and approximation of solutions of some Neumann boundary-value problems in the presence of an upper solution $eta$ and a lower solution $alpha$ in the reversed order ( $alphageq eta$).

On an n-dimensional quadratic spline approximation
This paper is devoted to the study of the multivariate quadratic spline functions on rectangular grids. The splines under discussion are continuous functions and piecewise quadratic in each variable. Error bounds and applications to shape-preserving approximation are also discussed.

Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.

Scheduling Parallel Jobs with Linear Speedup
We consider a scheduling problem where a set of jobs is distributed over parallel machines. The processing time of any job is dependent on the usage of a scarce renewable resource, e.g., personnel.

Generalized Quadratic Revenue Functions [PDF]
In this paper we focus on specification of revenue functions in their dual price space. We consider two distance functions, both dual to the revenue function: Shephard output distance function and the directional output distance function, both in price ...
