Study on Focusing High Current Electron Beams with Quadrupole Magnets in LIA
Aimed to obtain small-sized beam spots, the focusing characteristics of high current electron beams generated by linear induction accelerators (LIA) with the quadrupole magnets were studied in this paper. The main factors which influence the minimum beam

Lipid Nanoparticle Co‐Delivery of mRNA and a Small Molecule Drug for Oral Cancer Chemoimmunotherapy
Co‐encapsulation of p53 mRNA and the small molecule ciclopirox within a lipid nanoparticle yields an all‐in‐one chemoimmunotherapy for oral squamous cell carcinoma. The platform engages caspase‐driven apoptosis in cancer cells while repolarizing tumor‐associated macrophages, achieving tumor reduction in both p53‐susceptible and p53‐resistant models and

Kinetic energy in the collective quadrupole Hamiltonian from the experimental data
Dependence of the kinetic energy term of the collective nuclear Hamiltonian on collective momentum is considered. It is shown that the fourth order in collective momentum term of the collective quadrupole Hamiltonian generates a sizable effect on the ...

Quadrupole-quadrupole forces in cerium metal
The specific heat of cerium shows an anomalous peak at about 12°K. The peak is too sharp to be accounted for by the splitting of the ground level by the electrostatic field of the crystal. In this thesis an attempt has been made to explain the peak by proposing a model which approximates the metal as a hexagonal close packed array of multipoles ...

Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

Quadrupole magnets for the SSC
The authors have designed, constructed, and tested four short (1-m) models and six full-size (5-m) models of the Superconducting Super Collider (SSC) main-ring 5-m focusing quadrupole magnet (211 T/m). The results of this program are summarized. The magnet construction, test procedures, and test results are discussed.

Germanium (Ge) all‐dielectric metasurfaces can be leveraged to strongly enhance the radiative emission from Ge layers grown on silicon‐on‐insulator substrates by industry‐standard processes. At room‐temperature, the narrowband photoluminescence (PL) intensity is enhanced by a factor ∼40× with respect to unstructured films.
