The reaction between the methanol radical cation and sulfur dioxide is remarkably fast and forms several ionic and neutral products (HOSOH+, CH2OSO+, CH2OH+, CH2O, H2O, HSO2). The chemistry goes beyond simple proton or hydrogen transfer, revealing a close interaction between the two species, relevant to atmospheric and astrochemical environments where ...

A double‐headed bis‐guanine (G) nucleotide (GG) was evaluated as a noncanonical building block in G‐quadruplexes (G4s). Biophysical and computational analyses reveal that GG can directly participate in G‐tetrads and strongly stabilize G4s in a position‐ and topology‐dependent manner. These findings establish design rules for using GG to engineer highly

Five heteroleptic iridium(III) complexes bearing cyclometalated 2,4‐diphenylpyridinato ligands were synthesized and their electrochemiluminescence (ECL) investigated. Two different coreactants were evaluated: tri‐n‐propylamine and benzoyl peroxide under anodic and cathodic potentials, respectively.

Due to the severe catalyst poisoning effect of certain trace components, the purity of CO2 is the main attribute to qualify it as syngas for further downstream processes. This study uses PTR–MS to investigate the trace components of the CO2 produced within the Carbon2Chem project.

Abstract This study examines the microwave‐assisted catalytic pyrolysis (MACP) of individual and blended textiles (cotton, polyester, nylon 6) using ZnO and a ZnO/natural zeolite catalyst. In a custom‐built microwave reactor operated at 500°C, 1 kW power, and a 15‐min residence time, textile wastes were pyrolyzed.
