Plasma‐Treated Hydrogel for Combined RONS and Chemotherapy Delivery: A Proof‐of‐Concept In Ovo
This study explores plasma‐treated hydrogels (PTH) as a new way to deliver both reactive oxygen and nitrogen species and chemotherapy (Doxorubicin) directly to tumors. In ovo tests show effects after a single dose, especially in osteosarcoma tumors. Tumor weight decrease, and a resistance‐related protein is reduced.

Linkage disequilibrium fine mapping of quantitative trait loci: A simulation study
Recently, the use of linkage disequilibrium (LD) to locate genes which affect quantitative traits (QTL) has received an increasing interest, but the plausibility of fine mapping using linkage disequilibrium techniques for QTL has not been well studied ...

Quantifying Electron and Ion Transfers in Contact Electrification with Ionomers
The concurrent existence of both electron and ion transfers in solid‐ionomer contact electrification is reported. The ion transfer contributes significantly to the process of contact electrification, especially at high humidity, although only less than 2% of ions participate in the ion transfer, suggesting that there is room for further performance ...

Mapping resistant QTLs for rice sheath blight disease with a doubled haploid population
Sheath blight (SB) disease, caused by Rhizoctonia solani Kühn, is one of the most serious diseases causing rice (Oryza sativa L.) yield loss worldwide. A doubled haploid (DH) population was constructed from a cross between a japonica variety CJ06 and an ...

Additive Genetic Variation under Intraspecific Competition and Stabilizing Selection: A Two-Locus Study [Revised June 2002] [PDF]
A diallelic two-locus model is investigated in which the loci determine the genotypic value of a quantitative trait additively. Fitness has two components: stabilizing selection on the trait and a frequency-dependent component, as induced for instance if

The pH‐sensitive His6‐SWNTs, which is functionalized with oligohistidine, can deliver STTM396 molecules into callus cells. The STTM396–SWNT complex treatments enhance shoot regeneration efficiency by regulating the miR396‐GRF module in Arabidopsis and tomato calli.
