Events in quantum mechanics are maximally non-absolute [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum, 2022
The notorious quantum measurement problem brings out the difficulty to reconcile two quantum postulates: the unitary evolution of closed quantum systems and the wave-function collapse after a measurement.

Quantum-collapse Bell inequalities [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2014
We propose Bell inequalities for discrete or continuous quantum systems which test the compatibility of quantum physics with an interpretation in terms of deterministic hidden-variable theories. The wave function collapse that occurs in a sequence of quantum measurements enters the upper bound via the concept of quantum conditional probabilities.

Quantum black holes from quantum collapse [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2001
The Schwarzschild black hole can be viewed as the special case of the marginally bound Lema\^ıtre-Tolman-Bondi models of dust collapse which corresponds to a constant mass function. We have presented a midi-superspace quantization of this model for an arbitrary mass-function in a separate publication.

Quantum mechanism of extremely high energy processes at neutron star collapse and of quasar luminosity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Using the braid group topological approach to quantum statistics we demonstrate that for strong gravitational field occurring in neutron star merger with mass exceeding the Tolman, Oppenheimer and Volkoff limit the quantum statistics of particles beneath

Dynamics of quantum collapse in energy measurements [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 1995
The influence of continuous measurements of energy with a finite accuracy is studied in various quantum systems through a restriction of the Feynman path-integrals around the measurement result. The method, which is equivalent to consider an effective Schrödinger equation with a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian, allows one to study the dynamics of the ...

Singular Mean-Field States: A Brief Review of Recent Results

open access: yesCondensed Matter, 2020
This article provides a focused review of recent findings which demonstrate, in some cases quite counter-intuitively, the existence of bound states with a singularity of the density pattern at the center; the states are physically meaningful because ...

Gravitational Collapse in Quantum Einstein Gravity [PDF]

open access: yesFoundations of Physics, 2018
The existence of spacetime singularities is one of the biggest problems of nowadays physics. According to Penrose, each physical singularity should be covered by a "cosmic censor" which prevents any external observer from perceiving their existence.

Collapse dynamics and Hilbert-space stochastic processes

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Spontaneous collapse models of state vector reduction represent a possible solution to the quantum measurement problem. In the present paper we focus our attention on the Ghirardi–Rimini–Weber (GRW) theory and the corresponding continuous localisation ...

Quantum vacuum effects on the formation of black holes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We study the backreaction of quantum fields induced through the vacuum polarization and the conformal anomaly on the collapse of a thin shell of dust. It is shown that the final fate of the collapse process depends on the physical properties of the shell,

"Analytical and numerical study of some problems in nonlinear mechanics" [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة القراءة والمعرفة
This study deals with the topic of “Analytical and numerical study of some problems in nonlinear mechanics.” The study aimed to analyze a problem in nonlinear mechanics, which is “wave function collapse.” Which is represented by the laboratory experiment
