Group Symmetry and non-Gaussian Covariance Estimation

open access: yes, 2013
We consider robust covariance estimation with group symmetry constraints. Non-Gaussian covariance estimation, e.g., Tyler scatter estimator and Multivariate Generalized Gaussian distribution methods, usually involve non-convex minimization problems ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Riemannian Gaussian distributions on the space of positive-definite quaternion matrices

open access: yes, 2017
Recently, Riemannian Gaussian distributions were defined on spaces of positive-definite real and complex matrices. The present paper extends this definition to the space of positive-definite quaternion matrices.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

QUATERNION MATRIX IN NONLINEAR DYNAMICS OF HIGH-SPEED TRANSPORT SYSTEMS

open access: yesNauka ta progres transportu, 2009
The system of four quaternion matrices for presentation of main relationships of the theory of final rotation, kinematics and nonlinear dynamics of an asymmetric solid body in a three-dimensional space is presented.

Color restoration of images through high order zeroing neural networks [PDF]

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences
One of the fundamental tasks in pattern recognition is color image restoration. Every color image has three channels in the RGB color space, in contrast to grayscale images.

Shuttle Program. Euler angles, quaternions, and transformation matrices working relationships [PDF]

open access: yes
A brief mathematical development of the relationship between the Euler angles and the transformation matrix, the quaternion and the transformation matrix, and the Euler angles and the quaternion is presented.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...
