A Global Krylov Subspace Method for the Sylvester Quaternion Matrix Equation
This study concerns the Sylvester matrix equation in the quaternion setting when the coefficient matrices as well as the unknown matrix have quaternion entries.

Creating 3, 4, 6 and 10-dimensional spacetime from W3 symmetry
We describe a model where breaking of W3 symmetry will lead to the emergence of time and subsequently of space. Surprisingly the simplest such models which lead to higher dimensional spacetimes are based on the four “magical” Jordan algebras of 3×3 ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Quaternion polynomial matrices: computing normal forms [PDF]
The applications of quaternion polynomial matrices appear in many fields like applied mathematics, engineering and statistics. In this thesis, we discuss some well-known normal forms of quaternion polynomial matrices.

Algebraic tools for the study of quaternionic behavioral systems [PDF]
In this paper we study behavioral systems whose trajectories are given as solutions of quaternionic difference equations. As happens in the commutative case, it turns out that quaternionic polynomial matrices play an important role in this context ...

Color restoration of images through high order zeroing neural networks [PDF]
One of the fundamental tasks in pattern recognition is color image restoration. Every color image has three channels in the RGB color space, in contrast to grayscale images.

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Moore Determinant of Dual Quaternion Hermitian Matrices [PDF]
In this paper, we extend the Chen and Moore determinants of quaternion Hermitian} matrices to dual quaternion Hermitian matrices. We show the Chen determinant of dual quaternion Hermitian {matrices is invariant under addition, switching, multiplication ...

QUATERNION MATRIX IN NONLINEAR DYNAMICS OF HIGH-SPEED TRANSPORT SYSTEMS
The system of four quaternion matrices for presentation of main relationships of the theory of final rotation, kinematics and nonlinear dynamics of an asymmetric solid body in a three-dimensional space is presented.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created
