Quenching and partitioning process in ductile cast irons

open access: yes, 2014
A commercial ductile iron alloy was submitted to quenching and partitioning (Q&S) process. Samples were austenitized at 900° C for two hours, quenched at 170°C and held at this temperature for 2 minutes and finally were re-heated in temperature between

Quenching and Partitioning of High-Aluminum Steels

open access: yes, 2019
The quenching and partitioning response of aluminum-containing steels was investigated primarily through dilatometry and microstructural analysis through electron backscatter diffraction. It was found that 2-3 wt-% aluminum content raises the Ac3 temperature to levels that cannot be predicted by current thermodynamic models.

Recent Research Status of Production Process for Ultra-High-Strength Pipeline Steel X120

open access: yesTeshugang, 2009
Generally speaking, the carbon content in X120 pipeline steel is 0.05% ,and (Cu+Ni+Cr+Mo)content in steel≤2% with adding microalloying elements V,Nb,Ti,B.

Enhancing strength and ductility in ultrahigh-strength steel via flash-heated IQP with lamellar heterostructure and chemical heterogeneity

open access: yesMaterials & Design
To develop ultrahigh-strength steel with both excellent mechanical properties and cost efficiency, this study integrates complete austenitization (CA), intercritical quenching (IQ), and flash heating quenching and partitioning (FHP).

Microstructural Evolution during the Novel Quenching and Partitioning (Q&P) Heat Treatment of Steel

open access: yes, 2010
The novel non-equilibrium heat treatment procedure known as Quenching and Partitioning (Q&P) may offer the prospect of higher strength steel products with enhanced formability based upon martensitic microstructures containing controlled quantities of

Quenching and Partitioning (Q&P) technology

open access: yesBook of abstracts of the 17th International symposium of the Croatian Metallurgical Society - SHMD 2024, Materials and metallurgy
The direction of finishing heat treatment, which is based on the principle of Quenching and Partitioning (Q&P), has been actively developing in recent years. Q&P technology (it can be considered a type of isothermal hardening) can be applied to a wide range of steels, including those with a wider range of carbon concentrations.
